Prepare for the Construction Contractors Board (CCB) exam with hands on practice and instruction. This course is offered by the Small Business Development Center at Clackamas Community College.

Our February class is going to be an evening class, instead of the all-day Friday/Saturday classes that we normally have. We are hoping this makes the class more accessible for people who cannot or do not want to take off work in order to complete the training and exam. It will be a mix of watching videos on your own time, then coming together with the instructor for review, and taking the exam. We call this style a flipped classroom (or for Stranger Things fans, the "upside down" classroom). Here's how it will work:

We divide the 14 Chapters of the NASCLA manual into 4 Lessons. We will meet 4 Tuesdays in a row (2/7, 2/14, 2/21 and 2/28). Before each Tuesday, you will watch the videos for that Lesson (taking practice quizzes and notes, etc.). Then, at the Tuesday session, we will have a 1-hour review of the Lesson (on Zoom), followed by that portion of the official exam. Classes are a week apart, so you'll have a full week to watch and digest the videos (about 2 to3 hours of videos each week).

After successful completion of the class, you will earn your "CCB Exam Certificate" showing that you've passed the official CCB Exam. Included with the class is FREE BUSINESS ADVISING with our experienced and professional business advisers. They will help you submit your CCB application promptly and correctly.
