Topic: Start-up Assistance

For beginner and intermediate users of QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you have never used QuickBooks Online or have some familiarity and want to learn how to navigate QBO and use its features to manage your finances accurately, this class is for you.

Instruction will include:

  • Navigating in QuickBooks Online.
  • Adapting the chart of accounts to your business and for tax preparation.
  • How to properly use the bank transactions area (including rules and receipts) and its importance in your regular bookkeeping.
  • Setting up products and services.
  • Adding customers, preparing invoices, and receiving payments.
  • Adding vendors, paying invoices, and recording expenses.
  • Tracking owner investments and distributions.
  • Reconciliations.
  • Contractors & 1099 forms.
  • Reports.
  • Apps and integration of outside data.

Participants need to have a reliable computer connection with camera, microphone, speakers, and Zoom access.

A free QuickBooks Online account will be provided for practice (data entered in this account cannot be saved permanently).

Drop & Refund Policy │In order to drop the class with a full refund it is required that you notify the instructor and the Lane SBDC staff within the first week of class. Refunds for cancellation requests received outside of the refund deadline are generally given when there is sufficient documentation of medical or extenuating circumstances constituting an emergency.
