Spreadsheet Accounting (In-Person Instruction)
If you own a very Small Business with basic accounting needs this course might be ideal for you!
In this class, you will be introduced to basic Excel functions and Accounting concepts as you learn to track accounting data in an Excel spreadsheet. A spreadsheet template will be provided and attendees will be shown how to record transactions and enter the appropriate income or expense account which will make it possible to print a single step Income Statement. This class, for small and early-stage businesses, will provide a low-cost cash basis accounting option that allows users to track data and produce reports for Tax Preparation at year end.
Spreadsheet Accounting is ideal for businesses that:
• Use cash basis accounting
• Have one business bank account
• Do not have business loans
• Do not have business credit cards
• Have less than 100 accounting transactions per year.
(Fast growing businesses would likely benefit from taking a QuickBooks course instead)
