Topic: Business Accounting and Budget

Feeling unsure about your bookkeeping or overwhelmed by accounting software?

You’re not alone — and there’s more than one way to manage your books well.

This 2.5 hour introductory workshop is designed for new business owners, side hustlers, and existing businesses that have inconsistent or incomplete bookkeeping systems. We’ll cover the fundamentals of bookkeeping in plain language and walk through how everyday business activity turns into financial reports like a Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet.

Participants will be introduced to a variety of bookkeeping approaches, from spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets to common bookkeeping software programs. The focus is on helping you understand your options, identify what system fits your business stage, and build confidence in your financial numbers. This session is mostly lecture and demonstration, with small interactive activities to reinforce learning.

No prior bookkeeping or accounting experience is required.
