Topics include managing sales and invoices, managing and reconciling checkbooks and credit cards, managing expenses, and creating meaningful reports.

To gain an overview of the basics of bookkeeping

  • To learn about the Balance Sheet
  • To learn about the Profit & Loss Statement
  • To learn some fundamental accounting principles

To learn some basics of QuickBooks

  • To learn how to work with the “File” drop-down menu
  • To review how to use the Chart of Accounts to get more information and to format financial statements
  • To understand the two basic financial statements and their uses

Session #2--Paying Bills & Making Deposits

  • Working directly in the “Checkbook”
