Small Business Management

This class is designed for experienced, CCB licensed construction contractors in Oregon that have 3+ years in the trade. This is a critical time to:

  • Evaluate staffing
  • Develop an award winning customer service approach where referrals are the norm and competing for a job is based on relationships instead of price.
  • How to grow the business (not just the top line sales number), we look at increasing the bottom line, understanding financial statements,
  • Learn how a business plan can make all the difference in getting favorable loan terms (an it's increasingly a requirement by industrial, institutional and governmental clients) and to help the owner see what different options will mean to the bottom line of the business.
  • Examine operational excellence. It's more than working hard -- it's working with a purpose!

As a deep dive into the operation of the business, this class creates a rich exchange of information as well as the opportunity to explore the business model that supports the owner's vision. As a benefit of this class, the owners will be granted access to a premier business planning tool (GrowthWheel) at no additional cost during the term -- a $1000 value.

Class is taught by an experienced instructor that is an accountant. While working with thousands of construction contractors her expertise and experience as a long-term business owner herself gives students resources to refine the business as it matures. Each owner redefines success and then gets coaching and tools to help them move forward. Class includes no-cost 1:1 coaching with the instructor each month along with tools to take back and use in the business.

Enrollment is limited to 25 students and these seats tend to go quickly - don't wait to enroll! Get ready to energize your business and move to the next level!

One additional person from the business may attend at no extra cost.
