Retiring from your small business can be difficult after having invested the better part of your working years in achieving success. Business owners who want to pass on that successful business may be faced with a bigger dilemma of how to transfer the wealth they have accumulated through their business. Several critical factors need to be considered.

This 3-month program walks owners through the various options in a business exit or transition. Learn, plan, and develop your business transition strategy through exercises. The format includes presentations from professionals on various topics. One-on-one coaching is provided (at no cost) for each business owner during the course to help refine the aspects of their exit or transition. Let the SBDC help you gain a better understanding of how a transition works and key elements to explore as a transition plan is developed. Information is held in the strictest of confidence.

REGISTRATION DETAILS BELOW

3-5 years are needed for a typical business exit or transition.

Class is led by Diana Tourney, our SBDC Instructor and Lead Advisor who has worked with all business types through all stages of their transition. Gain access to tools that will help develop a successful strategy, and additional information regarding professional providers.

Up to two people from your business may participate for the price of 1 registration (that is, the person who registers plus one other person from your business). One workbook per registration is given.
