Strategic Management
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT: A Mastermind for Experienced Business Owners
Watch a 2-minute video about the class
If you’ve been running a business for years, you probably don’t need another class telling you how to write a business plan. Strategic Management is designed for experienced business owners who are ready to step out of the day-to-day and take a fresh look at where their company is going, what’s holding it back, and what needs to change. From October through June, you’ll meet monthly with a group of fellow business owners to tackle the bigger questions, challenge assumptions, exchange ideas, and learn from the real-world experience in the room.
This isn’t a lecture series—it’s nine months of working on your business. You’ll choose a meaningful Strategic Transformation Project to develop throughout the program, conduct Strategic Experiments inside your company to test ideas and gather real evidence, and share the hard-earned lessons and decisions that have shaped your business. Expect candid conversations, hands-on activities, practical tools, and plenty of opportunities to learn from other experienced owners. There’s no treasure map to running a great company—but there’s a lot to be gained from exploring the territory together.
Enrollment also includes free one-on-one business advising — up to two hours each month — giving you personalized support outside of class.
Examples of the topics and projects we'll cover as part the class:
- Strategic Transformation Project — Identify one meaningful challenge or opportunity in your business and work on it throughout the nine-month program.
- Test Your Assumptions — Challenge long-held beliefs about your customers, employees, operations, pricing, and market—and use real evidence to find out what’s actually true.
- Know Where the Value Really Comes From — Look beyond revenue to examine profitability, customers, services, hidden costs, capacity, and where your resources are best spent.
- Strategic Experiments — Test new ideas in your actual business—from delegation and pricing to customer experience, technology, AI, and process improvements.
- Real-World Business Cases — Explore difficult decisions and turning points experienced by members of the group and learn from what worked, what didn’t, and what others might have done differently.
Be part of a high-level group of forward-thinking business owners — developing your business, sharing ideas, and learning together.
