The Clatsop SBDC has assembled a thorough 5-session course covering everything you need to know to successfully refine your business concept and create a solid working plan. Coupled with individual coaching from an expert SBDC advisor, this course covers the start-up journey and provides actionable insight into what you need to know to get your business off the ground.

The five boot camp sessions will be held in person with an option to participate via Zoom. Advising sessions with a Clatsop SBDC advisor will be scheduled in the week following each course.

The Start-up Boot Camp is open to those who have recently started a business, or are preparing to start a business, in Clatsop, Pacific or Wahkiakum counties. Reserve your spot today and you will be contacted by an Advisor to confirm your registration.

Clatsop Community College SBDC workshops are not eligible for continuing education credits and we will not be able to issue any certificates of completion or provide similar statements or documentation.

Speaker(s): Meyer Freeman Meyer has been an SBDC Advisor since March 2020 and specializes in supporting those looking to start their small business. Originally from Knappa, Meyer returned to Clatsop County after a 20-year career in Portland with non-profit organization Sport Oregon. He has assisted more than 150 local small businesses and recently launched his own business – Playful Pickleball, which offers pickleball lessons and coaching on the North Coast. Eric Stromquist Eric spent over 40 years around the Portland restaurant scene, starting as a server with McCormick & Schmick’s while completing his BS degree at PSU, then becoming director of their retail products division. He co-founded Hot Lips Pizza in 1985, also working as a consultant and instructor at Portland’s SBDC. He joined Western Culinary Institute in 1996 as an instructor, eventually becoming VP of Academic Affairs before co-founding Oregon Culinary Institute in 2006, where he served as President until 2015.
