Food & Beverage Entrepreneur’s Bootcamp

Are you an entrepreneur with a great recipe or product but need additional support to turn it into a successful business? The Food & Beverage Entrepreneurs Boot Camp is a 5-week program that will help new entrepreneurs build on their passions and current producers strengthen their existing businesses.

The Clatsop SBDC has partnered with local experts to deliver a comprehensive program that will cover what you need to not only create and sell your product but also put you on a path to building a successful food or beverage business that is able to scale up as your business demands.

This bootcamp will cover many topics including recipe/product development, packaging considerations, labeling requirements, regulatory agencies, manufacturing logistics, distribution, marketing, and pricing strategies.

The program includes:

*Five educational sessions, including one “pitch” session where you present your product plan to class participants and experts for feedback

*Individual advising sessions with an SBDC business advisor to help you apply what you are learning in the classroom to your business.

*Technical advising to assist with recipe refinement, product costing, and working in a commercial setting.

Who should attend?
This program will be helpful to a wide range of individuals who are in the process of building a packaged food business, such as:

*A restaurant owner or chef who wants to market a special product for customers to take home or to sell at local retail stores.

*A person who wants to produce and package a unique food product developed from a family recipe.

*A farmer who wants to create jelly made from berries they grow.

*A person who has a passion and recipe developed for a craft beverage.
